GOOD STUFF IN YOUR GARBAGE?

We try our best to recycle. But surveys show there’s still a lot of waste.  In Alameda County 45% (by weight) of items found in garbage could be recycled or composted. Remember — food scraps and food-soiled paper go in green bins! Please keep separate green bins and garbage cans. www.stopwaste.org/benchmark

OAKLAND LEAF Helps Build Community

Posted in EVENTS, NEIGHBORHOOD, OAKLAND on October 29, 2014 by Julie Nachtwey, the Claremont Hills Real Estate Expert

Clients and neighbors, plus several new friends from The Berkeley Tennis Club, joined forces Monday night on behalf of Oakland Leaf. We gathered at “Lost and Found” Restaurant in Oakland to share food and drink…and to support Oakland Leaf’s community-building initiatives: literacy, parent engagement, restorative justice, and high school youth internships.
